- Osteoclast-stimulating factor (OSTF1) is an intracellular signaling protein, highly expressed by osteoclasts (OCL). Indirectly, it enhances osteoclast (OCL) formation and bone resorption through a cellular signal transduction cascade by possibly interacting with c-Src or other c-Src-related proteins. OSTF1 contains a short proline-rich N-terminal region, an SH3 domain, three ankyrin repeats and an aspartate-rich C-terminal region, suggesting that it is potentially involved in protein–protein interactions. Applications: Suitable for use in Immunocytochemistry/Immunofluorescence, Flow Cytometry, ELISA, Western Blot. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Hybridoma: F0 myeloma cells with spleen cells from BALB/c mice. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months after receipt. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
