- N-Myc downstream regulated gene (NDRG)-1 is one of 4 members of the NDRG alpha/beta- hydrolase family. This protein is classified in databases as a tumor suppressor and heavy metal-response protein. Its functions include cell-cycle regulation, cellular differentiation, apoptosis, hypoxia response and metal-ion sensing. Mutation in the NDRG1 gene has been reported to be causative for hereditary motor and sensory neuropathy-Lom (HMSNL), a severe autosomal recessive form of Charcot-Marie-Tooth (CMT) disease. Applications: Suitable for use in Immunocytochemistry/Immunofluorescence, Flow Cytometry, ELISA, Western Blot. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Hybridoma: F0 myeloma cells with spleen cells from BALB/c mice Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months after receipt. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
