It is a costimulatory molecule for T cell activation and IFN- gamma production. It upregulates BRCC3 expression, antagonizing DNA damage caused by 5-Fu. It is correlated with TNM stage of NSCLC and may serve as a potential biomarker for NSCLC-derived MPEs.
