- ALDOC, also known as aldolase C, is a member of the class I fructose-biphosphate aldolase family. This protein is a glycolytic enzyme that catalyzes the reversible aldol cleavage of fructose-1,6-biphosphate and fructose 1-phosphate to dihydroxyacetone phosphate and either glyceraldehyde-3-phosphate or glyceraldehydes respectively. It is expressed specifically in the hippocampus and Purkinje cells of the brain. Applications: Suitable for use in Immunocytochemistry/Immunofluorescence, Flow Cytometry, ELISA, Western Blot. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Hybridoma: F0 myeloma cells with spleen cells from BALB/c mice. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months after receipt.
