Extra Details:: Neisseria gonorrhoeae is a species of Gram-negative cocci, usually seen in pairs with the adjacent sides flattened, it is pathogenic to humans who are its only natural host, it is responsible for the disease Gonorrhea. Neisseria gonorrhoeae typically infects the mucous membranes causing infections such as urethritis, cervicitis, salpingitis, pelvic inflammatory disease, proctitis, conjunctivitis and pharyngitis. Applications: Suitable for use in ELISA and Immunofluorescence: Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilutions: Indirect ELISA: 1:20-1:200 Immunofluorescence: 1:10-1:50. Direct FA staining of target antigens in a permissive tissue culture system. Acetone fixation of the antigen source is recommended prior to staining. Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months after receipt. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
