- Extra Details:
- 367137 is directed against the transferrin receptor (CD71), the 95kD, type II membrane glycoprotein. CD71 is expressed on activated, but not resting lymphocytes, monocytes, macrophages, most dividing cells and on brain endothelium, and is upregulated during response to antigens and/or mitogens. The transferrin receptor binds Fe(Apo)-transferrin and via endocytosis and delivers iron required by the growing cell for cellular metabolism. Applications: Suitable for use in Flow Cytometry. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Flow Cytometry: 5ul is sufficient for staining of 1 million cells in a 100ul staining volume or 100ul of whole blood Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: Store product at 4°C if to be used immediately within two weeks. For long-term storage, aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing and store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable at -20°C for 12 months after receipt. Dilute required amount only prior to immediate use. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer. Caution: FITC conjugates are sensitive to light. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
