Extra Details:: CD5 is a 67kD type protein and a member of the scavenger receptor cysteine-rich protein superfamily (SRCR). It is expressed on T lymphocytes, thymocytes, and IgM-secreting B cells (B-1 cells). CD5 functions to moderate activation signals from the BCR of B-1 cells in response to activating stimuli. Applications: Suitable for use in Flow Cytometry. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Flow Cytometry: 5ul is sufficient for staining of 1 million cells in a 100ul staining volume or 100ul of whole blood Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: Store product at 4°C if to be used immediately within two weeks. For long-term storage, aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing and store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable at -20°C for 12 months after receipt. Dilute required amount only prior to immediate use. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer. Caution: FITC conjugates are sensitive to light. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
