Extra Details:
CD4 is a 55kD type I transmembrane glycoprotein and a member of the immunoglobulin superfamily. It is a specific marker for T lymphocytes, monocytes, macrophages, and dendritic cells. Through interaction of MHC-II, CD4 facilitates cell-cell interaction, thymic differentiation, and activation of downstream signaling cascades. HIV infection of T-cells is instigated through binding of HIV to CD4. 367090 binds to the D3 domain of CD4 and does not inhibit HIV binding. Applications: Suitable for use in Flow Cytometry. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Flow Cytometry: 5ul is sufficient for staining of 1 million cells in a 100ul staining volume or 100ul of whole blood. This biotin conjugated antibody can be easily detected by any fluorochrome conjugated streptavidin. Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: Store product at 4°C if to be used immediately within two weeks. For long-term storage, aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing and store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable at -20°C for 12 months after receipt. Dilute required amount only prior to immediate use. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
