- CD3epsilon is a 20kD chain, which together with CD3lambda, CD3delta, and CD3zeta, and a T cell receptor (alpha/beta or gamma/sigma) form the CD3/T-cell receptor complex. It is a specific marker for T lymphocytes, NK T cells, and some thymocytes. Crosslinking of TCR initiates an intracellular signaling cascade resulting in cellular activation and proliferation. The OKT3 antibody has been reported to have potent immunosuppressive properties in vivo and has been proved effective in the treatment of renal, heart, and liver allograft rejection. Applications: Suitable for use in Flow Cytometry. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Flow Cytometry: 2-5ul is sufficient for staining of 1 million cells in a 100ul staining volume or 100ul of whole blood. This biotin conjugated antibody can be easily detected by any fluorochrome conjugated streptavidin. Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: Store product at 4°C if to be used immediately within two weeks. For long-term storage, aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing and store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable at -20°C for 12 months after receipt. Dilute required amount only prior to immediate use. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
