- CD14 is a 53-55kD glycosylphosphatidylinositol (GPI)-anchored and single chain glycoprotein expressed at high levels on monocytes. Additionally, CD14 antibody reacts with interfollicular macrophages, reticular dendritic cells and some Langerhans cells. The binding of CD14 antibody does not inhibit CD14 mediated activities, and is useful for detecting CD14 expression by immunofluorescence and or immunocytochemical methods. Applications: Suitable for use in Flow Cytometry. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Flow Cytometry: 5ul is sufficient for staining of 1 million cells in a 100ul staining volume or 100ul of whole blood Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: Store product at 4°C if to be used immediately within two weeks. For long-term storage, aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing and store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable at -20°C for 12 months after receipt. Dilute required amount only prior to immediate use. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer. Caution: FITC conjugates are sensitive to light. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
