- Members of the RGS (regulator of G protein signaling) family have been shown to modulate the functioning of G proteins by activating the intrinsic GTPase activity of the alpha (guanine nucleotide-binding) subunits. RGS6, The predicted 472aa protein has a calculated molecular mass of 54.4kD. It contains an N-terminal dishevelled /egl10/pleckstrin (DEP) domain, a central G protein gamma subunit (GNG2)-like (GGL) domain, and an RGS domain near the C terminus. The variants encode proteins with long or short N-terminal domains, complete or incomplete GGL domains, 7 distinct C-terminal domains, and a common internal domain that includes the RGS domain. Applications: Suitable for use in Western Blot and Immunohistochemistry. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months after receipt. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
