Extra Details:
Gamma-interferon-inducible protein Ifi-16 is a member of the HIN-200 (hematopoietic interferon-inducible nuclear antigens with 200aa repeats) family of cytokines. The encoded protein contains domains involved in DNA binding, transcriptional regulation, and protein-protein interactions. The protein localizes to the nucleoplasm and nucleoli, and interacts with p53 and retinoblastoma-1. It modulates p53 function, and inhibits cell growth in the Ras/Raf signaling pathway. At least 6 interferon-gamma-inducible genes located on mouse chromosome 1 were described by Choubey et al., Kingsmore et al., and others. In the mouse, the genes mapped to a 150-kb segment of DNA, and the serum amyloid P component gene (Sap) mapped within approximately 450 kb of the IFN-inducible gene cluster. Applications: Suitable for use in ELISA, Western Blot, Immunohistochemistry, Immunocytochemistry. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: ELISA: 1:100-1:5000 Western Blot: 1:50-400 Immunocytochemistry: 1:50-500 Immunohistochemistry (frozen): 1:50-500 Immunohistochemistry (paraffin): 1:10-100 Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months after receipt. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
