- Adenylate Cyclase Associated Protein is an actin-binding protein that was originally identified as a binding partner for adenylate cyclase. It binds actin monomers and sequesters them from the polymerization process. The yeast ortholog of CAP is called Srv2. Adenylyl Cyclase Associated Protein 2 was identified by its similarity to the gene for human adenylyl cyclase-associated protein. The function of the protein encoded by this gene is unknown. However, the protein appears to be able to interact with adenylyl cyclase-associated protein and actin. Applications: Suitable for use in ELISA, Western Blot, Immunohistochemistry, Immunocytochemistry. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: ELISA: 1:100-5000 Western Blot: 1:50-400 Immunohistochemistry (frozen): 1:50-500 Immunohistochemistry (paraffin): 1:10-100 Immunocytochemistry: 1:50-500 Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
