Extra Details:
ATN1 is a protein found in nervous tissue. It is associated with a form of trinucleotide repeat disorder known as "dentatorubral-pallidoluysian atrophy" or "dentatorubropallidoluysian atrophy". Dentatorubral pallidoluysian atrophy is a rare neurodegenerative disorder characterized by cerebellar ataxia, myoclonic epilepsy, choreoathetosis, and dementia. The disorder is related to the expansion of a trinucleotide repeat within this gene. The encoded protein includes a serine repeat and a region of alternating acidic and basic aa, as well as the variable glutamine repeat. Alternative splicing results in two transcripts variants that encode the same protein. Applications: Suitable for use in Western Blot and Immunocytochemistry/Immunofluorescence. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Western Blot: 0.01-2ug/ml Immunocytochemistry/Immunofluorescence: 5-20ug/ml Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months after receipt. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
