- Recombinant monoclonal antibody to TCR variable alpha chain with variable regions (i.e. specificity) from original hybridoma 34. This full-length, re-formatted mouse antibody was made using the variable domain sequences of the original mouse scFv format. Manufactured using a proprietary recombinant platform technology. This antibody binds specifically to the recombinant and native variable domain of the alpha chain which comprises the T-cell receptor (TCR). The TCR is a disulfide-linked heterodimeric protein expressed on the surface of T-cells in complex with CD3 and zeta-chain molecules. The receptor functions in the recognition of MHC molecule and the subsequent activation of T-cells. Recognizes V alpha regions of TCRs expressed in the 85.33 arthritogenic T-cell hybridoma and can be used to analyse TCR V gene expression and for immunotherapy in T cell mediated autoimmunity. Applications: Suitable for use in Flow Cytometry, ELISA and Western Blot. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilutions: Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months after receipt. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
