Extra Details:: Recombinant monoclonal antibody to Polysialic Acid with variable regions (i.e., specificity) from the hybridoma 735. Manufactured using a proprietary recombinant platform technology. This antibody recognizes an unusual postranslational modification on neural cell adhesion molecules important in synaptogenesis, oncogenesis (particularly small-cell lung cancer) and development of organs such as the kidney (studied in rats, Lackie et al. 1990). In addition to various studies on human cells, the antibody, has also been used the study the fine-composition of poly-sialic acid composition in mice (Galuska et al. 2006). Applications: Suitable for use in Flow Cytometry, Immunoprecipitation and Immunohistochemistry. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilutions: Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months after receipt. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
