Extra Details:: Recombinant monoclonal antibody to CD40L with variable regions (i.e. specificity) from the original hybridoma hu5c8 (Ruplizumab). Manufactured using a proprietary recombinant platform technology. Not for therapeutic use; this is a research grade biosimilar. The antibody binds specifically to CD40L, a surface receptor expressed on activated T cells which acts as a costimulatory molecule to trigger immune responses. The antibody neutralises CD40L function, as it blocks the interaction between CD40 and CD40L. When injected into cynomolgus monkeys, the original therapeutic antibody was found to have a T1/2 of 531±155 hours. Applications: Suitable for use in Flow Cytometry and Western Blot. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months after receipt. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
