- YPEL1 (yippee-like 1) is thought to play a role in the epitheloid conversion of fibroblasts and the regulation of the cellular morphology. It is a 119aa protein that localizes to the nucleus and belongs to a family of yippee-like proteins that include YPEL2-5, all of which localize to the centrosome and nucleus and are widely expressed in both adult and fetal tissue. The family of human YPEL proteins share a high degree of sequence homology with their rodent homologs, suggesting a conserved function between species. YPEL1 might be an important factor during the development and malignant transformation of tissues. Applications: Suitable for use in Immunofluorescence, ELISA, Western Blot and Immunocytochemistry. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Immunofluorescence: 2.5ug/ml Western Blot: 1ug/ml Immunocytochemistry: 2.5ug/ml Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Positive Control: HeLa Cell Lysate Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
