Extra Details:: The WW and C2 domain containing 1 (WWC1) protein, also known as KIBRA, possesses two WW domains and an internal C2-like domain (1). WWC1 was originally identified as a memory performance-associated protein in humans (2) and has recently been shown to be a novel regulator of the Hippo pathway (3). WWC1 is phosphorylated by the mitotic kinases Aurora-A and -B (4), and in turn activates the Aurora kinases and is required for precise chromosome alignment during mitosis (5). Applications: Suitable for use in Immunofluorescence, ELISA, Western Blot and Immunohistochemistry. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Immunofluorescence: 20ug/ml Western Blot: 1-2ug/ml Immunohistochemistry (paraffin): 5ug/ml Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Positive Control: Human Brain Tissue Lysate Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
