Extra Details:: The VPS9 ankyrin repeat protein (VARP) binds to the Rab21, a guanine nucleotide exchange factor that plays an essential role in endocytic trafficking. VARP localizes to early endosomes and is thought to regulate endosome dynamics. VARP also interacts with TIVAMP/VAMP7, a vesicular SNARE that mediates an exocytic pathway that is crucial to neurite growth. Depletion of VARP by RNA interference impairs neurite growth, suggesting that VARP is a positive regulator of neurite growth. Applications: Suitable for use in ELISA and Immunohistochemistry. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Immunohistochemistry: 5ug/ml Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Positive Control: Human Small Intestine Tissue Slide Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
