Extra Details:: The development of spermatogonial stem cells into spermatozoa, i.e., spermatogenesis, is a highly ordered process that requires multiple proteins, including some that are testis-specific or testis-specific isoforms of genes that are expressed in other tissues. One such protein is SPATA6: while its full-length isoform is expressed in multiple tissues including thymus, brain and testis, the shorter isoform is expressed only in testis. It has some homology to the motor domain of kinesin related proteins and with the C. elegans neural calcium sensor protein NCS-2. Applications: Suitable for use in Immunofluorescence, ELISA, Western Blot and Immunohistochemistry. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Immunofluorescence: 20ug/ml Western Blot: 1ug/ml Immunohistochemistry: 2.5ug/ml Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Positive Control: A-20 Cell Lysate Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
