Extra Details:: SOX18 is a member of the SOX (SRY-related HMG-box) family of transcription factors involved in the regulation of embryonic development and in the determination of cell fate (1,2). SOX18 is part of the SoxF subgroup which plays an important role in the differentiation of different cell types (3). SOX is known to be involved with vascularization and endothelial development, suggesting that it may be useful as a potential target for inhibiting tumor angiogenesis (4). Mutations in this gene have been associated with recessive and dominant forms of hypotrichosis-lymphedema-telangiectasia (5). Applications: Suitable for use in ELISA, Western Blot. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Western Blot: 1-2ug/ml Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Positive Control: 3T3 Cell Lysate Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months after receipt. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
