- NOSTRIN. also known as endothelial nitric oxide synthase traffic inducer, is a member of the Pombe Cdc15 homology (PCH) family of proteins which may function as the modulator of the subcellular localisation and activity of endothelial nitric oxide synthase (eNOS) (1,2). It decreases NOS3 activity by inducing its translocation away from the plasma membrane (3). NOSTRIN typically exists as a trimer and is expressed in the vascular endothelial cells of highly vascularized tissues such as placenta, lung, kidney and heart. NOSTRIN is necessary for proper vascular development in zebrafish and postnatal retinal angiogenesis in mice (4,5). Applications: Suitable for use in Immunofluorescence, ELISA, Western Blot and Immunohistochemistry. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Immunofluorescence: 20ug/ml Western Blot: 1-2ug/ml Immunohistochemistry (paraffin): 5ug/ml Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Positive Control: SW480 Cell Lysate Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
