Extra Details:: Phosphomevalonate kinase, also known as PMVK, is a cytosolic enzyme. It was expressed highly in heart, liver, skeletal muscle, kidney and pancreas and slightly lower in brain, placenta, and lung. Induced by sterol, PMVK participates in isopentenyl diphosphate biosynthesis via the mevalonate pathway. PMVK catalyzes the conversion of mevalonate 5-phosphate into mevalonate 5-diphosphate in the fifth reaction of the cholesterol biosynthetic pathway. Applications: Suitable for use in ELISA, Western Blot, Immunocytochemistry/Immunofluorescence, Flow Cytometry. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Hybridoma: F0 myeloma cells with spleen cells from Balb/c mice. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months after receipt. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
