- ETS translocation variant 4 (ETV4), also known as polyoma enhancer activator 3 (PEA3), or E1AF, is a member of the PEA3 subfamily of Ets transcription factors. It is mapped to 17q21.31. E1AF can activate the promoters of various matrix metalloproteinases, genes whose expression is associated with tumor cell invasion and metastasis, by 10 to 20 fold. Pea3 is detected in cells of epithelial and fibroblastic origin. It is also a transcriptional activator that binds to the enhancer of the adenovirus E1A gene. Applications: Suitable for use in Western Blot. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Western Blot: 0.1-0.5ug/ml Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: Lyophilized and reconstituted products are stable for 12 months after receipt at -20°C. Reconstitute with sterile ddH2O. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
