- HNF1 homeobox A (hepatocyte nuclear factor 1 homeobox A), also known as HNF1A or TCF1, is a human gene. It is mapped to chromosome 12q24.3. The protein encoded by this gene is a transcription factor that is highly expressed in the liver and is involved in the regulation of the expression of several liver-specific genes. HNF1A can function as a dimer. Deletion of the HNF1A activation domains or interruption of the HNF1-binding sites in the LCT promoter resulted in complete loss of transcriptional activity. Applications: Suitable for use in Western Blot. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Western Blot: 0.1-0.5ug/ml Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: Lyophilized and reconstituted products are stable for 12 months after receipt at -20°C. Reconstitute with sterile ddH2O. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
