- Toll interacting protein, also known as Tollip, is an inhibitory adaptor protein within the signaling pathway of IL-1 and Toll-like receptors(TLR). The Toll-like receptors are essential transmembrane signaling receptors of the innate immune system that alert the host to the presence of a microbial invader. Tollip recruits IRAk1 to the IL-1 receptor complex and inhibits IRAk1 phosphorylation and kinase activity. Applications: Suitable for use in ELISA, Western Blot. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Western Blot: 1:500-1000 Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Hybridoma: FO myeloma cells with spleen cells from Balb/c mice. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
