- PNPO (pyridoxamine 5'-phosphate oxidase) is a 261aa protein belonging to the pyridoxamine 5'-phosphate oxidase family. It is the rate-limiting enzyme in vitamin B6 synthesis. Vitamin B6 (Pyridoxal 5-prime-phosphate or PLP) is vital for normal cellular function, and some cancer cells have notable differences in vitamin B6 metabolism compared to their normal counterparts. Vitamin B6 is a required co-factor for enzymes involved in both homocysteine metabolism and synthesis of neurotransmitters such as catecholamine. Applications: Suitable for use in ELISA, Western Blot. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Western Blot: 1:500-1:5000 Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Hybridoma: FO myeloma cells with spleen cells from Balb/c mice. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
