Extra Details:: Myoglobin, mitochondrial precursor, also known as MB, is a cytosolic oxygen-binding protein responsible for the storage and diffusion of oxygen within myocytes. Expression of myoglobin is highest in skeletal and cardiac muscle. MB may serve a variety of functions in muscular oxygen supply, such as oxygen storage, facilitated diffusion, and myoglobin-mediated oxidative phosphorylation. Recombinant protein corresponding to aa1-154 of human MB, fused to His-tag at N-terminal expressed in E. coli.
