Extra Details:: SRPX gene also designated ETX1, resides within this region and is deleted in XLRP patients. There are at least two splice variants of SRPX, one of which contains a thirtyaa signal peptide. Both variants contain three complement control protein domains, a hydrophobic region for membrane anchorage, and a cytoplasmic carboxy terminus. SRPX is expressed in retina and heart. SRPX is highly homologous to the drs (downregulated by v-src) human homolog, which suggests a role for SRPX as a tumor suppressor. Applications: Suitable for use in ELISA, Western Blot, Immunohistochemistry. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: ELISA: 1:2000-1:10000 Western Blot: 1:1000-1:5000 Immunohistochemistry: 1:25-1:100 Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months after receipt. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
