- F-Spondin, also designated Spondin-1 or vascular smooth muscle growth-promoting factor, is a member of the subgroup of the Thrombospondin type 1 class molecules. F-Spondin is a secreted, extracellular matrix-attached protein which patterns axonal trajectories by promoting adhesion and outgrowth of commissural axons, in addition to inhibiting outgrowth of motor axons. Applications: Suitable for use in ELISA, Western Blot and Immunohistochemistry. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: ELISA: 1:1000-1:2000 Western Blot: 1:200-1:1000 Immunohistochemistry: 1:25-1:100 Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months after receipt. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
