Extra Details:: Also known as ATP:3-phosphoglycerate 1-phosphotransferase, this major enzyme in glycolysis catalyzes the reversible conversion of 1,3-diphosphoglycerate to 3-phosphoglycerate, generating one molecule of ATP. In addition to its role as a glycolytic enzyme, PGK-1 appears to acts as a polymerase alpha cofactor protein. Defects in PGK1 are generally associated with chronic hemolytic anemia. Applications: Suitable for use in ELISA and Western Blot. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months after receipt. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
