Extra Details:: This gene encodes an alpha-dystrobrevin-associated MAGE (melanoma-associated antigen) protein, which is a member of the MAGE family. The protein contains a nuclear localization signal in the N-terminus, 30 12-amino acid repeats beginning at nt 60 with the consensus sequence ASEGPSTSVLPT, and two MAGE domains in the C-terminus. It may play a signaling role in brain, muscle, and peripheral nerve. This gene is located on X chromosome in a region containing loci linked to mental retardation. Applications: Suitable for use in ELISA, Western Blot and Immunohistochemistry. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: ELISA: 1:2000-1:5000 Western Blot: 1:200-1:1000 Immunohistochemistry: 1:50-1:200 Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months after receipt. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
