Extra Details:: Microtubule-binding protein which directly binds tubulin and is involved in both polymerization and stabilization of microtubules. Through its action on microtubules, may participate to the refinement of axons by negatively regulating axonal and leading processes branching. Plays a crucial role in neuron polarization and migration in the cerebral cortex and the hippocampus. May regulate voltage-gated sodium channels transport and function. May also play a role in MAPK signaling. Applications: Suitable for use in ELISA, Western Blot and Immunohistochemistry. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months after receipt. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
