- Extra Details:
- Beta-1,4-glucuronyltransferase involved in O-mannosylation of alpha-dystroglycan (DAG1). Transfers a glucuronic acid (GlcA) residue onto a xylose (Xyl) acceptor to produce the glucuronyl-beta-1,4-xylose-beta disaccharide primer, which is further elongated by LARGE, during synthesis of phosphorylated O-mannosyl glycan (PubMed:25279699, PubMed:25279697). Phosphorylated O-mannosyl glycan is a carbohydrate is a carbohydrate structure present in alpha-dystroglycan (DAG1), which is required for binding laminin G-like domain-containing extracellular proteins with high affinity (PubMed:25279699, PubMed:25279697). Required for axon guidance, via its function in O-mannosylation of alpha-dystroglycan (DAG1). Applications: Suitable for use in ELISA and Immunohistochemistry. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Immunohistochemistry (paraffin): 1:20-1:200 Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months after receipt. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
