- WD-repeats are motifs that are found in a variety of proteins and are characterized by a conserved core of aa40-60 that commonly form a tertiary propeller structure. While proteins that contain WD-repeats participate in a wide range of cellular functions, they are generally involved in regulatory mechanisms concerning chromatin assembly, cell cycle control, signal transduction, RNA processing, apoptosis and vesicular trafficking. AAMP (angio-associated migratory cell protein) is a 434aa immunoglobulin-like protein that contains 8 WD repeats. Expressed in endothelial cells, cytotrophoblasts and blood vessels, AAMP is thought to have a heparin- sensitive role in cell adhesion and cell migration. AAMP is strongly expressed in poorly differentiated colon adenocarcinoma cells, suggesting a role for AAMP in tumor progression. Applications: Suitable for use in ELISA, Western Blot and Immunohistochemistry. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months after receipt. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
