Extra Details:: Smooth muscle cells (SM) and cardiac muscle cells- specific transcriptional factor which uses the canonical single or multiple CArG boxes DNA sequence. Acts as a cofactor of serum response factor (SRF) with the potential to modulate SRF-target genes. Plays a crucial role in cardiogenesis and differentiation of the smooth muscle cell lineage (myogenesis). Isoform 1 mediates the cardiac transcription factor MEF2C-dependent transcription. Isoform 1 and isoform 3 are more active than isoform 2 and isoform 4 in stimulating cardiac muscle promoters. Applications: Suitable for use in Western Blot. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Western Blot: 1:2000 Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months after receipt. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
