Extra Details:: Atrial natriuretic peptide (ANP), atrial natriuretic factor (ANF), atrial natriuretic hormone (ANH), or atriopeptin, is a powerful vasodilator, and a polypeptide hormone secreted by heart muscle cells. It is involved in the homeostatic control of body water, sodium, potassium and fat (adipose tissue). It is released by muscle cells in the upper chambers (atria) of the heart (atrial myocytes) in response to high blood pressure. ANP acts to reduce the water, sodium and adipose loads on the circulatory system, thereby reducing blood pressure. Applications: Suitable for use in Immunofluorescence, PAP or ABC. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Immunofluorescence: 1:200 PAP or ABC: 1:500 Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Sequence: Glu-Val-Val-Pro-Pro-Gln-Val-Leu-Ser-Glu-Pro-Asn-Glu-Glu-Ala-Gly-Ala-Ala-Leu-Ser-Pro-Leu-Pro-Glu -Val-Pro-Pro-Trp-Thr-Gly-Glu-Val-Ser-Pro-Ala-Gln-Arg Storage and Stability: Lyophilized and reconstituted products are stable for 12 months after receipt at -20°C. Reconstitute with sterile ddH2O. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
