Extra Details:: Staufen, RNA binding protein homolog 2, is a member of the family of double-stranded RNA- binding proteins. Staufen 2 is mainly expressed in brain and heart tissues. Staufen 2 is found in the somatodendritic domain of neurons and colocalizes with microtubules in dendrites. The exact function of Staufen 2 is not yet known, but it could be involved in events involving double-stranded RNA-binding. A sensitive antibody against the C-terminal of human Staufen 2 protein. The antibody is in a protein-free culture medium. Applications: Suitable for use in Immunofluorescence and Western Blot. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Immunofluorescence: 1:250 Western Blot: 1:500 Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: Lyophilized and reconstituted products are stable for 12 months after receipt at -20°C. Reconstitute with sterile ddH2O. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
