Extra Details:: Ras-related protein Rab-27a belongs to the small GTPase superfamily. The protein is membrane-bound and is involved in protein transport and small GTPase mediated signal transduction. Rab27a plays a role in cytotoxic granule exocytosis in lymphocytes. Rab27a is widely expressed with considerable expression in pancreatic islets and pituitary tissue, and low expression in the brain. Defects in RAB27A are a cause of Griscelli syndrome type 2 (GS2), a rare autosomal recessive disorder. Applications: Suitable for use in Western Blot and Immunoprecipitation. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilutions: Western Blot: 1:1000, recommended blocking solution: Donkey Serum 20% Immunoprecipitation: native conditions with 0.2% TritonX-100 Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: Lyophilized and reconstituted products are stable for 12 months after receipt at -20°C. Reconstitute with sterile ddH2O. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
