Extra Details:: Leishmania donovani is a protozoa parasite responsible for human visceral leishmaniasis. During their life cycle the parasites exist in 2 forms: as flagellated promastigote within the sandfly vector and as nonflagellated amastigote in the macrophage phagolysosomal compartment of the mammalian host. A2 protein is an amastigote-specific virulence factor that is required for Leishmania donovani parasite survival in a mammalian host. Applications: Suitable for use in Immunofluorescence, Western Blot and Immunoprecipitation. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Western Blot: 1:100 Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: Lyophilized and reconstituted products are stable for 12 months after receipt at -20°C. Reconstitute with sterile ddH2O. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
