- Hepatocyte growth factor-regulated tyrosine kinase substrate (Hrs, also known as Hgs) is a mammalian protein predominantly localized on early endosomes. Hrs interacts with many proteins involved in membrane trafficking, such as eps15, SNX-1 and SNAP-25. Hrs is implicated in early endosome fusion and may play a role in cargo sorting/trafficking to early and late endosome by recruiting clathrin. Hrs is also involved in intracellular signal transduction mediated by cytokines and growth factors. Applications: Suitable for use in Western Blot, Immunoprecipitation, Immunohistochemistry and Immunocytochemistry. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Western Blot: 1:1000 Immunohistochemistry: 1:300 Immunocytochemistry: 1:200 Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: Lyophilized and reconstituted products are stable for 12 months after receipt at -20°C. Reconstitute with sterile ddH2O. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
