Extra Details:: Collagen XVII is a member of the transmembrane collagen family of proteins. It is a major structural component of the hemidesmosome (HD) playing an important role in its integrity. HD is a specialized multiprotein complex involved in the attachment of basal keratinocytes to the underlying basement membrane. Applications: Suitable for use in Immunofluorescence, ELISA, Western Blot and Immunohistochemistry. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilutions: Western Blot: 1:100-1:10,000 Immunohistochemistry (Paraffin): 1:2-1:40 Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: Lyophilized and reconstituted products are stable for 12 months after receipt at -20°C. Reconstitute with sterile ddH2O. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
