- Lipoteichoic acid (LTA) is the major proinflammatory structure present within the cell wall layer of most gram-positive bacteria. It plays an important role in the initiation and progression of bacterial infection, inflammation, and septic shock. Can be used for detection of LTA produced from Staphylococcus cells. Applications: Suitable for use in ELISA and Opsonization assay. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: ELISA: 0.1-1mg/ml Opsonization assay: 80-160ug/ml Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months after receipt. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
