Extra Details:: FGF-23 (fibroblast growth factor 23) is one of three FGF family members that appear to play a role in endocrine metabolism. It is described as being a phosphatonin, a molecule that reduces circulating plasma phosphate. FGF-23 does this, in part, by blocking Vitamin D activation. Active Vitamin D promotes intestinal phosphate absorption. Applications: Suitable for use in Western Blot. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Western Blot: 1:1000-2000 Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: Lyophilized and reconstituted products are stable for 12 months after receipt at -20°C. Reconstitute with sterile PBS. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
