- Coiled-coil domain containing 134 (CCDC134) is a widely expressed glycoprotein that is secreted as a 38kD molecule. CCDC134 overexpression inhibits kinase activity in the Raf-1/MEK/ERK and JNK/SAPK pathways. In humans, CCDC134 polymorphisms are associated with reduced levels of Amyloid beta peptide in the cerebrospinal fluid, a potential biomarker for Alzheimer’s disease. Alternative splicing of mouse CCDC134 generates a short isoform that lacks the N-terminal 37 amino acids including the signal peptide. Mouse CCDC134 shares 90% and 95% aa sequence identity with human and rat CCDC134, respectively. Applications: Suitable for use in ELISA, Western Blot. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Western Blot: 1:1000-2000 Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: Lyophilized and reconstituted products are stable for 12 months after receipt at -20°C. Reconstitute with sterile PBS. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
