Extra Details:
Cytidine 5'-triphosphate disodium salt is a nucleotide found in cells and plays a key role in DNA synthesis by providing the building blocks of RNA and DNA. It is also important for maintaining normal levels of glutathione. Cytidine 5'-triphosphate disodium salt is used as a ligand to study receptor-ligand interactions at the molecular level. The interaction between cytidine 5'-triphosphate disodium salt and gold nanoparticles can be studied using a fluorescence technique known as bathochromic spectroscopy. This technique uses gold nanoparticles that have been coated with an organic dye, which changes its wavelength when it interacts with cytidine 5'-triphosphate disodium salt. This allows for the study of these interactions without interference from other molecules in the solution or cell culture media. Synonyms: 5'-CTP·2Na; Cytidine Triphosphate Disodium Salt; Cytidine-5'-triphosphate Disodium Salt; NSC 20261; Cytidine 5'-(Tetrahydrogen triphosphate) Disodium Salt CAS No: 36051-68-0 Free Acid: 65-47-4 Molecular Formula: C₉H₁₄N₃Na₂O₁₄P₃ Molecular Weight: 527.12 Purity: ≥97% Appearance: White to off-white solid Melting Point: 113°C (lit) Optical Rotation (C=1 H2O): As Reported Method of Determining Identity: 1H NMR Spectrum Storage and Stability: Store at -20ºC.
