- Shigella boydii is a Gram-negative bacteria of the genus Shigella. Like other member of the genus S boydii is a nonmotile non-sporeforming rod-shaped bacteria which can cause dysentery in humans through fecal-oral contamination. S boydii is the most genetically-divergent of the Shigella genus. Applications: Suitable for use in Immunofluorescence, Immunocytochemistry. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Hybridoma: Sp2/0 myeloma cells with spleen cells from Balb/c mice. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months after receipt. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
