Extra Details:: Nef is a multifunctional protein of 27kD in HIV1 and 35kD in HIV2 It induces the endocytosis of CD4 Receptor and reduces the MHC1 Receptors thereby it enhances viral infectivity and affects T-cell signalling. Applications: Suitable for use in Western Blot, Immunoprecipitation. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Western Blot: 1:1000. Predicted molecular weight: 35kD. Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Hybridoma: X63-Ag8.653 myeloma cells with spleen cells from Balb/c mice. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months after receipt. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
