Extra Details:: CENPE is a 250-300kD human centromere-associated kinesin-like motor protein that accumulates in G2 phase In contrast to other centromere proteins CENPE is not detected at centromeres during interphase and first appears at the centromere region of chromosomes during prometaphase CENPE function is required for the transition from metaphase to anaphase CENPE is probably one of the motors responsible for mammalian chromosome movement and/or spindle elongation Applications: Suitable for use in Immunofluorescence, Flow Cytometry, Western Blot, Immunoprecipitation, Immunocytochemistry. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Immunoprecipitation: 3ug/ml per 300ug of lysate Western Blot: 0.5-1ug/ml. Predicted molecular weight: 312kD. Only suitable for WB if Immunoprecipitation is performed first Flow Cytometry: 1ug for 10e6 cells Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Hybridoma: Sp2/0 myeloma cells with spleen cells from Balb/c mice. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months after receipt. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
